Bangeman, Alamillo undefeated at Van Tuinstra duals

SPIRIT LAKE — Sophomore Mason Bangeman (113) and senior Zack Alamillo (220) each went undefeated, as the Bulldogs lost all five duals against teams mixed with varsity and JV wrestlers on Saturday at the Van Tuinstra duals tournament at Timberlake High School.
The Bulldogs lost 66-12 to Coeur d’Alene, 45-33 to Bonners Ferry, 48-36 to Kellogg, 45-36 to Lake City and 45-37 to Timberlake
In the loss to Coeur d’Alene, Tekoa Mazzare (160) earned a third period pin, Mason Bangeman (113) earned a 7-4 win, Zack Alamillo (220) a 5-2 win for the only Bulldog points.
Bangeman also earned a solid 6-3 decision over Tyler Beazer of Bonners Ferry, while Alamillo won by pin over Lake City and by a 11-10 decision over Kellogg.
The Bulldogs will now gear up for the Rocky Mountain Rumble at Coeur d’Alene High School starting on Friday.
