Wampus Cats split in battle of Clark Forks

CLARK FORK, Mont. — Spencer Jeffres posted 16 points, six steals and five rebounds, and Wade Stevens 15 points, six steals and three assists to lead the Wampus Cats to a big nonleague road win over the other Clark Fork High School from Montana.

Kobe Banks added nine points, six assists and two steals, Hunter Boudousquie eight points, six rebounds and three steals, Jensen Heisel four points, three boards and three steals, T.J. Henderson four points and Dakota West three for the Wampus Cats (6-4), who scored a season-high 59 in the win.

The Cats are at Mullan on Thursday.

n Wampus Cat girls fall

Sophomore Tessa Sutton scored a season-high 18 points, but it wasn’t enough, as Clark Fork fell to their cross-state namesake 61-40 on Saturday in nonleague hoops in Montana.

Brooke Stevens added six points, five rebounds and five assists, Nona Young five points and five boards, Ellie Lambert five points, Lily Simko four and Ali Sutton two for the Wampus Cats (1-11).

The Cats are at Wallace on Thursday in North Star League play.
