In the wake of growing division, disrespect, hostility and lawlessness in this country, a record number of law enforcement officers were shot and killed in 2016. We recently felt the reverberation of this statistic as two of our own Bonner County Sheriff’s deputies were shot in the line of duty.

On behalf of the members of Northside Christian Fellowship, I would like to commend you, the peace officers of Bonner County, for your courage, self-sacrifice, and willingness to put yourselves in harm’s way to enforce law and order and to protect the citizens of our community. In the midst of the battle between good and evil, right and wrong, you are that “thin blue line” standing in the gap to preserve the peace, promote the good and prevent or punish the evil. We are truly grateful for your service, we support you, and we pray for the safety and spiritual prosperity of you and your families as you honorably discharge your duties. Thank you.
