Thank you, thank you, thank you for the overwhelming outpouring of prayers, love, and support. Bonner County citizens showed their true colors by lining the streets when we brought Deputy Mike home from the hospital. We are humbled by all the get well cards and letters from young and old people alike. I already knew we had awesome neighbors, but we found out how far reaching our neighborhood extends through this traumatic event.

The Bible says, “love your neighbor as yourself.” Everyone of you who prayed for us, sent us well wishes and cards, visited or took care of us at the hospital or at home, sent flowers, gifts, and food are our neighbors. We have felt the love. Mike said it best … “One act of evil has now revealed thousands of acts of kindness.”

The doctors and nurses at Kootenai Health were amazing. We especially want to thank Sheriff Daryl Wheeler, all the Bonner County deputies and staff, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Boundary County Sheriff, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, Idaho State Patrol, Sandpoint Police Department, Priest River Police Department, Ponderay Police Department, and many more.

The unity of the law enforcement community is an example to all of us how to treat each other as brothers and sisters of the human race. We appreciate every one of you.
