As a veteran, one who has worked six days a week for most of his life and an unapologetic, progressive liberal, I applaud the hearty discussion on the political leanings of those who live here.

I’m considering moving here after realizing that there are people who care about others who live here. Empathy appears to be less valued in politics in these times and I’d like to suggest we follow the lead of one of the most noted liberal of all times. Jesus Christ embodied the liberal values we could all stand to pay more attention to. Caring for those who who have less and who have been put down for the color of their skin, their religion, their sex, their nationality is something we could all aspire to.
