HOPE — A Hope resident has added to the reward being offered by the husband of Bonner County woman who was killed in an unsolved homicide.

On the Bonner County Sheriff’s Facebook page, it was announced that Dave Reynolds of Hope was adding $1,000 to a $5,000 rewarding being offered by Daryl Ramey for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his wife Shirley Ramey’s death.

Tips can be called into the sheriff’s office by phoning 208-255-COPS.

Shirley Ramey, 78, was found shot to death in her Trestle Creek home on April 5. Shell casings from a 9-milimeter were found at the scene, according to court documents.

Her former neighbor was accused of perpetrating the killing, but was released from custody after investigators determined he had a verifiable alibi. The man was hospitalized out of state.

Daryl Ramey was cleared as a suspect and burglary was ruled out as a motive because nothing had reportedly been taken, according to court documents.
