SASi demonstration a success

Sandpoint Area Senior, Inc.’s Garden Earth Boxes demonstration and installation at the Sandpoint Senior Center was a tremendous success. This program is being coordinated by the “Harvesting our Health” committee of the Bonner County Coalition for Health through a grant obtained by Panhandle Health to improve food quality in our community. There are now community gardens at all of the local elementary schools, the food bank and now at the Sandpoint Senior Center.
“Kudos to Nanci and Ron Jenkins and committee members who showed up to help,” said SASi Executive Director Ellen Weissman.
