Mini-Hawk, Tiny-Hawk sports camps offered

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Parks and Rec is partnering with Skyhawks to offer the Mini-Hawk Camps for any and all area youth between the ages of 4–7 years-old. Two Sessions are available, with Session No. 1 on June 19-23 for $125, or Session No. 2 on July 5-7 for $109. Each Session will meet at Travers Park (2102 Pine St.) from 9 a.m.-noon.

The Mini Hawk Camp is a baseball, basketball and soccer program designed to give young children a fun and positive first step into athletics. Through games and activities, campers explore balance, hand/eye coordination and skill development at their own pace.

The deadline to register for Session No. 1 is June 12, while the Session No. 2 deadline is June 26.

n Tiny Hawk Soccer Camp

For the younger kids Skyhawks offers the Tiny Hawk Soccer Camp for kids ages 3–4 years-old. Two Sessions are available, with Session No. 1 from June 19-23 for $65, or Session No. 2 on July 5-7 for $40. Each Session will meet at Travers Park (2102 Pine St.) from 8–8:45 a.m. each day.

The Tiny Hawk Soccer Camp is designed specifically for pre-school aged kids. It will introduce the essentials of soccer through games and activities, balance exploration, hand/eye coordination and skill development. Participants must be toilet trained in order to participate.
