The other day I pulled up to the stop sign on Fourth at Pine and there was a car in front of me. Thank God they were paying attention because a lady in a SUV drove right through the stop sign on Pine without slowing down. Then as she cleared the intersection a semi came through without stopping at a high rate of speed! If the car in front of me had pulled out as they had the right to do there would have been serious injuries if not a fatality.

This entire change back to the two-way traffic system that we had years ago doesn’t make sense to me, but if someone thinks it will be better then go for it, but do it in a logical manner. Can somone involved tell me what you are trying to accomplish and how you can do it with the traffic pattern you came up with? Leaving a block of Pine as one-way, having the traffic pattern north bound on Pine snaking around to Fourth, then left on Church, then turn on Fifth. Was this created by the same transportation engineer that put the increase to 65 mph at the south end of Sagle before the four lanes merge to two? This has created many hazardous situations as drivers race to get in front before the merge. I’ve seen as many as three cars abreast racing for it.

There’s no logic in that and there’s no logic in the traffic pattern the change in town has created.
