Another diet? Nah, it's time for a mindset shift

Are you stepping on the scale and cringing at the results? You try to eat right, you are working out three or four times a week, you are drinking more water than you ever have in your entire life and the results on the scale are not what you envisioned they might be. Your shorts are still too snug and that cute little dress you were going to wear this summer isn’t happening!

What do you do now? How are you supposed to reach your health and wellness goals? Why does it feel so frustrating? Why can’t we figure it out?

We all know that nothing changes until something changes right? We can’t expect amazing results if we don’t make some serious changes. I’m talking about a complete makeover in the kitchen, a closer look at the types of food that we eat, a transformation in the way we work out and a tough look at our support system. But, in the eleven years that I’ve been transforming physiques, the first thing that I assist my clients with is resetting their mindset. Yep, our mindset is the very first change that must happen, it is #1 on my check list for any new client that I accept.

We deserve to jump off the diet roller-coaster and jump in to a complete lifestyle switch. A “diet” is a temporary fix with an end date in mind, a lifestyle switch is just that. It is for the rest of your life, so, it must be manageable and realistic for you. Wrap your mind around the lifestyle concept and bury the word diet. Make sense?
