SAGLE — Tim Farmin blasted 25 of 25 clay pigeons to lead the Sandpoint Gun Club to a team score of 95 on Sunday during the Spokesman Review Shoot in Sagle.

Club President Louis Dash missed just one target for a 24, followed by Mike Thurmond and Randly Poelstra with 23 each, as the team competes in the Division III level from other clubs around the Inland Northwest.

Linda Bottcher was the top female shooter with a 20, followed by Barb Camps with a 19 as the pair had one of their better shooting days at the range on Gun Club Rd.

Following the Spokesman shoot was the Noxon Shoot, where competitors must move further back depending on how they finished the first shoot, before the two are added together. Mike Hunter led the way with a 45 (21/24), posting an unusually high second score, joined by Poelstra’s 45 (23/22) for high honors.

Rounding out the scores were Dash with a 41 (24/17), Farmin a 40 (25/15) and Mike Williams a 40 (22/18) for a team score of 171.

Camps had an exceptional second round to lead the women with a 39 (19/20), followed by Bottcher (20/13).

Any and all shooters are welcome to join in the action every Sunday morning at the Sandpoint Gun Club.
