SANDPOINT — The Bonner County clerk’s elections office is open for in-person absentee voting in advance of March 14’s levy elections.

The office is located on the ground floor of the Bonner County Administration Building at the corner of U.S. Highway 2 and Division Avenue. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The last day of in-person absentee voting is Friday, March 10.

The Lake Pend Oreille School District has a supplemental maintenance and operations levy question on the ballot asking for $8.7 million in year one, and $8.3 million in year two. The West Bonner County School District has a supplemental levy question on the ballot asking for $3 million for each of the next two years. The Lakeland Joint School District has a supplemental maintenance and operations levy question asking for $8,990,534 for each of the next two years, as well as a plant facilities reserve fund levy question asking for $1.1 million for each of the next five years on the ballot.

“All three school districts holding elections means every voter in Bonner County is eligible to vote in the upcoming election. I encourage you to vote and let your voice be heard,” Bonner County Clerk Michael Rosedale said.

The elections office will be publicly testing its ballot counting equipment on Wednesday, March 8 at 1 p.m. administration building’s first-floor conference room.

Election Day voting will be at your usual polling place, except that the Cocolalla Precinct and the Southside Precinct polling places have changed to the LDS Westmond Ward at 331 Westmond Road in Sagle.

Voters with questions are encouraged to call the elections office at 255-3631 or send an email to elections@bonnercountyid.gov.
