LPOSD needs to live within its means; over 60 percent of Idaho’s budget goes to education with also lottery proceeds and additional federal funds. Idaho is mandated to fund education, and other school districts live within their income.
LPOSD’s wishlist needs trimming, and raises and bonuses for administrators are a slap in the face of the taxpayers. All the people who rail for passage of levies need to step up and donate their money for all the extras and bonuses. It is easy to force other people to pay for your wants when you don’t have skin in the game.
Vote no on levy and force LPOSD to get back to rational use of the taxpayers’ money.
