I want to add my voice to those of other school levy supporters I have been reading in the Bee.

I was raised in Sagle and my two daughters graduated from Sandpoint High School. The district has never been better run or more transparent. It is providing more academic, athletic and extracurricular activities for students than ever before. We are getting our money’s worth and I am proud to support the teachers, principals and district leaders who deliver for our students every day.

LPOSD is among the top-performing districts in the state and our school levy tax rate is 48 percent below the state average. What I know and have experienced personally in regards to our school district leaves me baffled by the voices of dissent I read on these pages. They seem angry and unfocused, making claims I know to be untrue. They seem to care little about the quality of our schools.

I do care, and understand how first-rate schools go hand-in-hand with a first-rate community. I will vote yes on March 14.
