I have in my possession a brittle , yellowed letter that my father wrote in 1915. In his 5-year-old hand, he asks his mom to vote yes for their school levy as “my school needs money.”

This same father had to leave school to support his widowed mother at age 16. When I was 5 years old, this same father went to night school while working full time and communting three hours a day to get a college degree.

With a long history of educational expectations and respect, I will vote as my father asked 102 years ago and vote yes for our schools, they need money, mine and yours.

Join me in voting for excellence for our children.
