On behalf of my children, their peers, and their families I publicly thank every teacher, administrator, and employee of Lake Pend Oreille School District. I thank you for your passion for and commitment to education and the many hours you have invested in my children. I am the proud parent of two SHS graduates and both currently enrolled in college. Certainly, they are thriving and succeeding largely due to their education in LPOSD.

I thank every teacher at Sagle Elementary, SMS, and SHS for their role in educating my children. I also thank every coach that committed many hours to help my children compete in practice, in games, and in life. Clearly the habits learned in athletics contributes to their ability to succeed in the classroom and in life. Some folks have suggested that the number of coaches in our district and their compensation is excessive…that folks is not true. I’ve witnessed cross-country coaches, baseball coaches, track coaches, basketball coaches, and football coaches invest in my children and commit many hours well beyond what they’re paid for. To even suggest our district coaches are overpaid is offensive.

Once again thank you to every LPOSD employee for helping my wife and I raise two well rounded, well educated, confident, and poised for professional success young adults. Thank you in advance to every eligible voter that supports and values education and is joining me on March 14 to vote yes on the levy.
