BSCO announces Boat Idaho courses

SANDPOINT — The Bonner County Sheriff’s Office will be offering Boat Idaho courses for members of the public that want to learn about basic boating laws and safety.

The classes are set for March 25, May 20 and June 24. They start at 9 a.m. in the Bonner County Sheriff’s Marine Division boathouse at the sheriff’s office complex.

The class is expected to last about six (6) hours. It is free to the public and is open to residents of any state.

This course will teach you about boating safety and legal requirements, including necessary equipment. Basic boating laws and the rules of the road with regard to navigation and boater courtesy will be instructed.
