Man charged with sex crimes
SANDPOINT — A Dover man was arrested Tuesday on charges of rape and forcible penetration with a foreign object.
Aubrey Raven Stevens made an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court on Wednesday. Judge Lori Meulenberg appointed a public defender to represent Stevens and sustained his $20,000 bail, according to court documents.
Stevens, 18, is accused of violating the alleged victim, 17, on Feb. 14. No other details about the incident can be found in court documents. There is no probable cause affidavit and court minutes from the hearing which resulted in the criminal charges are not on file. If minutes from the hearing remain sealed, it can mean the investigation is still ongoing.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for March 30.
Stevens has no prior criminal record in the state of Idaho, according to the state supreme court’s online database.
