BURGLARY REPORTED

Stan Meserve called the police station at 7:15 a.m. March 7 to report that the Co-op Gas & Supply co., Inc., 502 Church, Sandpoint, had been broken into during the night. Meserve said that the back door to the office had been pried open, and the door to the safe had been damaged but had not been opened. The would-be thief or thieves evidently departed in haste, for Meserve reported that burglary tools were left behind. It was not immediately determined whether anything had been taken from the store.

Woolrich of Cumberland, Wyo., purchased 60 acres adjoining Kootenai and will build a four-room bungalow. Walter R. MAYOR AND WIFE BACK FROM EAST

Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Himes arrived home after an absence of two months in the east. Dick has been busy today greeting friends and telling them how good it is to get back to a country where it is fit to live. He was in Rochester, Minn., for two weeks, during which the thermometer did not get above 18 below zero and from that to 37 below.

In Rochester, Mr. Himes underwent an operation at Mayo Brothers’ and had his tonsils removed, also a slight operation on the bones of the nose to remedy some minor nasal trouble.
