On 3/10/2017 Litehouse had a violation of Sandpoint's Municipal Sewer Ordinance for discharging approximately 500 gallons of canola oil from a tanker truck into the city storm drain. Per city code each violation requires a minimum $250 to $1000 maximum fine and recovery of any costs to the city. Litehouse is working on installing new equipment to prevent future system failures as well as new training programs for their operators. SNP LEGAL 4486 MAR 18, 2017
