| May 10, 2017 1:00 AM

POST FALLS — Clark Fork sophomore Brooke Stevens waited for the most opportune time to post her best round of the season, carding a 90 to claim medalist honors and earn a spot at state during the 2A-1A District 1-2 tournament held at The Links on Monday.

St. Maries won both team titles to advance to state next Monday and Tuesday at Jefferson Hills Golf Course in Rigby. Lakeside’s girls also qualified for state.

Stevens is the lone Wampus Cat to qualify for state as an at-large, as brother Wade Stevens came up two strokes short after shooting a respectable 92 in the final round of the season.
