On my route going door to door in Zone 2 to spread awareness, I walked up the steps of one particular house in Sagle. A man answered the door, and I had just begun explaining my support for Gary Suppiger when a middle school aged boy jumped off the couch and spouted, “Mr. Suppiger?! He was my math coach! Tell him I said hi!” I smiled and told him Gary was just across the street if he would like to say hello himself. Without hesitation, he ran across the street and struck up a conversation with Mr. Suppiger, a man I more commonly refer to as dad.
This is one example of the lasting impact my dad has had on his students and this school district. He has also been heavily involved in his children’s education. From coaching 8-year-old girls soccer, to creating and fostering a math club at Sagle Elementary for 12 years, volunteering time at numerous school events including music, sports, and academics, my dad has always been active.
My father has been heavily involved with the school district for 18 years and is deeply committed to bettering education and seeing every child succeed. He has the knowledge, experience, and work ethic to make sure that the future of education in our community is the best it can be while using taxpayer money wisely and appropriately. Please allow Gary Suppiger to help the future of our community by voting on May 16.
