Mother's Day Brunch first of Legion baseball fundraisers

SANDPOINT — Come enjoy a tasty Mother’s day brunch while supporting youth baseball in Sandpoint on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the VFW building at 1325 Pine St.

On the menu is eggs, pancakes, sausage, hash-browns, juice and coffee for a $10 donation.

All proceeds to benefit Legion baseball.

Then on Saturday, May 20 the North Idaho Post 15 American Legion Baseball Dinner Auction will be held at the Ponderay Events Center, with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and silent auction items until 5:30 p.m. A Grilled Lemon Rosemary Chicken Dinner catered by Skeye’s the Limit will be served at 5:30 p.m., with dessert and live auction following dinner.

There will be a no-host beer and wine bar along with many great auction items including Gonzaga basketball and Mariners tickets, season passes for the Festival at Sandpoint, Golf, Spa and overnight stay packages, autographed Nolan Ryan memorabilia, and much more.

Tickets are $15 dollars in advance and $20 at the door the night of the auction. Tickets are available at North Idaho Spas, the Alpine Shop, Sandpoint Carpet One and Evans Brothers Coffee.

On Sunday, May 28 the 19U Single A team will celebrate Opening Day with a home doubleheader against Moscow. Games are at 1 and 3 p.m. at Pine St. Field.
