Free community concerts planned

Next month, the Pend Oreille Chorale, String Orchestra and chamber groups present classical pieces at a pair of free community concerts.

On June 15, a concert will be held at First Lutheran Church, 526 S. Olive. It will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature music by such composers as Brahms, Tallis, Reiner, Thompson, Rutter, Scarlatti, Elgar, Turina, and Saint Saens under the direction of Mark and Caren Reiner.

On June 16, the groups will present a concert at First Lutheran at 7 p.m.

Admission is free to both concerts.
