Bike maintenance class offered

| November 1, 2017 1:00 AM

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint Parks and Rec has partnered with Sandpoint Sports to bring anyone 16 years-old to adult a one-day introduction to bike maintenance class.

A bicycle provides transportation and exercise. A bicycle itself consists of numerous levers, bearings, pivots and parts that require proper care and maintenance. Without a basic understanding, these parts and how they all work together can be intimidating. This introductory class will teach you how to keep those parts running and operating like they were brand new.

A one-day session will be offered on Nov. 16 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Sandpoint Sports (476930 US-95 #1, Ponderay). Class space is limited to eight, and includes a class fee of $25 ($2 city discount). Pre-register online at www.sandpointidaho.gov/parksrecreation or visit it them in person at 1123 Lake St. The deadline to register is Nov. 3, so act quickly.
