Gary Lee Davis, 75
Gary Lee Davis, 75, passed away at home on Monday, October 16, 2017 in Kootenai, Idaho.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with a reception to follow.
Gary was born on November 19, 1941, in Riverside, Calif., to Melbourne and Margaret Davis.
He is survived by his three daughters Kerri, Lorie, and Tricia; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; longtime special friend Carol; a sister, Sharon; and a brother, Kenny.
Gary followed in his father’s footsteps and became an electrician. He moved to Sandpoint in 1975 and fell in love with the beauty of the Idaho panhandle. After traveling to Alaska to goldmine and Saudi Arabia as an electrician with Morrison Knudson, he returned to Sandpoint to live the remaining 40 years of his life. He was the owner and operator of Davis Electric.
Gary was at home in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Those closest to him will remember him as a “fishing fool.” He was also grateful for his 24 years of sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous.
Gary was a generous man who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be dearly missed.
Memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, P.O. Box 1191, Sandpoint, ID 83864.
