What’s your number? How many more gun deaths will you tolerate before you demand gun control in our country?
In a small Texas town on Sunday, Nov. 5, 26 churchgoers were shot and killed. The murdered included mere children: 5-year-old Brooke, 18-month-old Noah, 7-year-old Emily, 14-year-old Annabelle. Of course, we are not shot just in churches. We are shot in elementary schools and high schools and on college campuses. We are shot at concerts and holiday parties, in night clubs and workplaces. We are shot outside supermarkets and inside malls and movie theaters. Is there anywhere we are truly safe?
And is there any point at which we Americans will individually and collectively insist on common sense gun laws to stem the carnage caused by firearms?
What is your number?
