10th annual Turkey Trot on tap

SANDPOINT — Get ready to earn that Thanksgiving indulgence and join Sandpoint West Athletic Club and Sandpoint Parks and Recreation for the 10th Annual Turkey Trot and food drive on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 23.

This low key, untimed event features a 5K, 10K or whatever distance you want to run or walk (no dogs or bikes please). Feel free to dress up, as best costume wins a pie courtesy of the Pie Hut.

This fun run is free with your nonperishable donation to the Bonner Community Food Bank. The event will start at the Travers Park lot (1202 W. Pine St.) at 9 a.m. Please come early to sign a waiver (minors need a parent or guardian signature) and to drop off food donations. The event collects close to 1,000 pounds of food each year.
