Robin E. Helm, M.D,, believes we need to control guns, and the number of guns. Yes, I have a gun, but gun control won’t stop the killing. It’s not the gun, it’s the man behind the gun.
We need mental facilities (insane asylums) for the mentally deranged; putting them in jail for a while, and then releasing them isn’t working. Gun control back in the 1920s and 1930s didn’t work then, it won’t work now. Back then Tommy guns were outlawed; and look who had them — Al Capon, Baby-Faced Nelson, Machine-Gun Kelly, and other bad guys.
We already have laws against murder; what was it someone said: Criminals don’t respect laws, even gun control laws. It’s the man, not the gun.
