Have you ever wondered why Veterans Day is such an important holiday? Veterans Day is a remembrance day for all of the soldiers that have risked or lost their lives serving for our country.

For example, in the Vietnam War, approximately 58,220 Americans passed away. In that war, at least 2 million soldiers died. In World War I, 116,708 American soldiers died.

Veterans day is also a remembrance of the date. Nov. 11 is the Great War and Armistice Day. This is the day that marked the end of the Great War. President Woodrow Wilson noted Nov. 11 as the first commemoration of Armistice Day.

That is why Veterans Day is such an important holiday. I hope you appreciate it just as much as I do.
