Fundraiser helps BHT programs

Bonner Homeless Transitions is hosting its second Little Black Dress fundraiser from 5:30-8:30 p.m. today at Ivano's Ristorante, 102 S. Second St. There will be music, drawings and hors d’oeuvres.

After operating for more than 20 years under a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, grants for transitional housing ended throughout the country in May. Responsibility for funding the program has now shifted back to the local community. Join the event and help the organization continue to serve homeless clients and prepare them for permanent housing. The organization provided nearly 13,000 bed nights of which 65 percent are children. The organization transitions 85 percent of clients to permanent housing.
