Neumann earns NWAC Player of the Year honors
COEUR d’ALENE — Former Bulldog and current North Idaho College outside hitter Kayla Neumann is enjoying a stellar freshman season for the Cardinals’ volleyball team, and this week she was named the East Region volleyball Player of the Year by the Northwest Athletic Conference.
The 6-0 outside hitter has been a key piece of the Cardinals’ attack all season, and helped North Idaho College Kelsey Stanley earn East Region Coach of the Year during a strong season.
NIC opens the NWAC Championship at the Tacoma Convention Center against Shoreline this weekend. NIC enters the tournament as the East Region champion with a 31-6 record. The Cardinals were the second ranked team in the conference’s final poll.
