Selkirk Association of Realtors members and volunteers said the community’s generosity helped their recent food drive in Bonner and Boundary counties be a tremendous success.

“Our volunteers really outdid themselves this year, said Stephanie Rief, association executive. “Our original goal for the entire food drive was 3,500 combined pounds and dollars.

“Total dollars collected in both counties was $3,349.53 and 3,021 pounds of food. Well, you can see we definitely exceeded our goal this year.”

Rief said Selkirk Association of Realtors wanted to thank its members and the community for their gracious donations during the recent food drive.

“It is an event like this that continually shows what a generous and caring community we live in,” she said.

Realtors and other volunteers in Bonner County were able to raise $2,693.50 and 2,213 pounds of donations for local food banks. Realtors and volunteers in Boundary County were able to raise $656.03 and 808 pounds of donations for their local food bank.

Rief said the association wished to thank you to all who volunteered their time as well as all those who donated.
