SANDPOINT —  John Conlan was a local bartender for nearly 50 years and, although he died in 2013, a piece of his legacy lives on in the community.

A framed " Elect John Conlan for Mayor" poster has circulated in through the local auction scene since the 1990s. It will resurface this Saturday as one item up for auction at Ol' Red's Pub.

"It's got signatures of everybody who has purchased it," said Kim Haworth, who owns Ol' Red's along with Brandon "Taco" Reinbold. "So that is one item that is coming back and that will be one of the hot commodities."

All proceeds from Saturday's auction will go to Toys for Tots.

A few of the other donated items include a 10-night stay in Hawaii, Spokan Indian tickets and a Schweitzer Mountain Resort ski pass. A drawing will be held for a quilt donated by Debbie Clark. Tickets are on sale at Ol' Red's and the drawing will be held during the event.

"(The auction) is something we wanted to bring back," Haworth said. "It used to happen here back in the day."

County Commissioner Dan McDonald will be the auctioneer, and there will be a silent auction and live music throughout the event. Chris Hughes will play music throughout the day leading up to the event. "The Barnyard Critters" will take the stage following the event, around 6 p.m., and "The Liability" will take over at 8 p.m.

Haworth said while she has received several donations for the auction, more are welcome. Any donations can be dropped off at Ol' Red's.

Sandpoint Lions Club members will be on scene taking donations at the door — the event is free — and helping with other details. The Lions Club oversees and organizes the local Toys for Tots program.

The auction begins at 4 p.m. at Ol' Red's Pub, 202 N. First Ave.
