Tree lighting on tap for Friday

SANDPOINT — Welcome St. Nick and help kick off the holiday season at Friday's community Christmas tree lighting.

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. at Jeff Jones Town Square when local officials flip the switch and Sandpoint’s Christmas tree comes to life. Greet Santa as he arrives by fire truck at 6 p.m. Sip hot cocoa and share the joy of being together.

Last year, the event was adopted by Creations, which also provides funding for Santa Claus in the Cedar Street Bridge, as well as other events in the community.
