Notice of Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that a public hearing pursuant to Idaho Code and Dover City Code has been set for Dover City Council on December 14, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Dover City Hall, 699 Lakeshore Ave., Dover, to consider the following: File #AM03-16 - Repeal and replacement of Dover comprehensive plan and projected land use map. The City of Dover has initiated an update to its comprehensive plan and map. The proposed comprehensive plan contains the components required by Idaho Code §67-6508, including analysis, goals, policies, and implementation plans. The proposed document will guide community growth decisions and establish the policy foundation for land use decisions. The proposed map encompasses lands within the City of Dover and the adopted Area of City Impact adjoining the city. Copies of the draft comprehensive plan and map can be viewed at city hall during normal business hours. The Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the plan and map, with minor revisions, at its November 2, 2017 public hearing. The public is encouraged to attend the hearing or provide written response. Any written comment greater than 1 page must be submitted at least 6 days prior to the meeting. Written material not exceeding 1 page may be read into the record the day of the hearing. Public testimony shall comply with Dover's public hearing resolution (copies available at City Hall.) The deadline for submitting written comment and/or material greater than 1 page is 4 p.m. December 7, 2017. Written comment can be mailed to City of Dover, P.O. Box 115, Dover, ID 83825-0115, or faxed to (208) 265-9035. The City of Dover has initiated an amendment to Title 9, Chapter 1, Dover City Code, to adopt the latest building codes authorized by the State of Idaho through its rulemaking authority, and to establish a purpose/authority section, update exemptions, and to specify permit terms, requirements, expiration dates, fees, and penalties and to provide savings and severability clauses and an effective date of January 1, 2018. The public is encouraged to attend the hearing or provide written response. Any written comment greater than 1 page must be submitted at least 6 days prior to the meeting.
