SAGLE — One person was killed and eight others injured in an early evening crash Wednesday that blocked the highway for several hours.

Idaho State Police said in a press release that a black 2010 Dodge Caravan driven by Christopher T. Langan, 34, of Bonners Ferry was northbound at about 6:39 p.m. attempting to pass a slow-moving vehicle in the southbound lanes on Highway 95 about two miles south of Sagle. The minivan collided head-on with a maroon 1997 Nissan Altima driven by James E. Moore, 56, of Sandpoint.

Moore succumbed to his injuries Thursday at Kootenai Health.
