Amos John Kopas
Amos John Kopas, born Feb. 20, 1982, left this world Friday, Nov. 24, 2017.
Amos and his family relocated from Wisconsin over 20 years ago for North Idaho, where they set down roots.
Amos was an avid fisherman, motorcycle rider, and hunter. He loved to camp with friends, laugh, and devise games. Amos’ sense of humor was legendary, and he was known to go to great lengths for the perfect prank. He once convinced his mother it would be a great idea to pepper spray an active yellow jacket nest.
Amos is survived by his mother, Mary Kopas; father, David Kopas; son, Deven Kopas; sister, Emily Smedley; brothers, Anton Kopas, Ethan Jelinek, Wade Young-Jelinek, and Joe Schier-holt. Amos will be missed by all who knew and loved him, including his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in law, sisters-in-law; and his surviving grandmother, Florence Kopas.
