Marianne Elizabeth Larsen, 90

Marianne Elizabeth Larsen, 90, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at her home in Hope, Idaho.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, in the Hope Cemetery with Pastor Kent Thielen officiating.

Marianne was born on Feb. 21, 1927, in Oakland, Calif. She attended Oakland High School and College of Pacific in Stockton, Calif., where she was a music major.

She had daughter Karen (of La Selva Beach, Calif.) in 1950; and daughter Linda (of White City, Ore.) in 1953; both still living. She raised her daughters in the “Mother Lode” country in Amador County, Calif.

Marianne was a self-taught artist for several years in Amador County. She started “APAL” for pets in Jackson, Calif. She owned the Heirloom House in Pine Grove, Calif., the House of Wicker in Jackson, Calif., Bandstand in Volcano, and many other creative endeavors.

She married Robert (Bob) Larsen in 1988 and moved to Hope, where they still reside. In their 29 years of marriage, they enjoyed their home in Hope, fishing, skiing, golfing, RV’ing and spending time with friends, neighbors and family.

Marianne and Bob have four children between them, Karen, Linda, Lynn and Alan. They have eight grandchildren — Heather, Kenny, Andrew, Eric, Chelsey, Anna, Catherine and Anthony. They have one great-granddaughter, Cailyn; and one great-granddaughter on the way.
