SANDPOINT — A Bonner County jury has found former Lake Pend Oreille High School instructor not guilty.

Nichole Noel Thiell, 48, was charged with sexual battery of a teen for allegedly having sex with a 16-year-old student in December 2015, when he was 16 years old. At the time, Thiel taught culinary arts and other courses at LPOHS, where the teen was enrolled as a student.
