Bokowy sisters, Ballard lead Bulldogs past Trojans

SANDPOINT — The race of the day, at least as far as drama, came when Post Falls’ Jonathan Archer touched the wall .03 seconds ahead of Sandpoint’s Charlie Wiesner, as the Bulldogs hosted the Trojans in a nonleague swim dual on Wednesday night at the Sandpoint West Athletic Club.

The Bulldogs swept the two duals, staking yet another claim to being the top swim team in north Idaho, and one of the top in the state.

Payton Bokowy celebrated Senior night by winning the 50 free and 100 back, while freshman sister Kate Bokowy won the 100 free and 200 IM as the girls nearly doubles the Trojans score.

Jacob Ballard won the 200 IM and 100 butterfly, Wiesner won the 100 free and Miles Luce the 100 breast to lead the Bulldog boys team.

The Bullogs are at the Kroc Center on Saturday in Coeur d’Alene.
