I just noticed that the city has again, painted those, how shall I say it, questionably needed bike with arrow-thingies, on the streets again. At the end of summer when they’ll be worn off by the winter weather.
So, with a $40 million budget for a town of 7,500, downtown is to get a facelift, the police and fire departments get new toys, and the residential areas get a bike insignia.
Hey, how about putting down a new layer of asphalt on some of these streets so we don’t go bouncing down them without charging the property owners an arm and a leg. You’d think that with a $40 million budget you could find a few hundred grand for this without making the streets look like that ridiculous Sixth Avenue design. We just want a new coat of asphalt, that’s it.
