Aug. 23

Report of a 911 misdial on Olive Avenue at 9:40 a.m.

Vandalism was reported on Huckleberry Avenue at 2:10 p.m.

A case was assigned to cover an attempt to locate a subject on Fifth Avenue at 3:29 p.m.

Mark L. Smith, 51, of Ponderay, was arrested in the 2100 block of N. Boyer Avenue at 3:35 p.m. and charged with violating a no contact order (felony), aggravated battery, resisting arrest and a felony bonner county warrant.

A citizen on Larch Street had questions at 3:23 p.m. about leaving animals in vehicles.

A vehicle parked in an alley in the 200 block of S. Third Avenue was reported at 4:11 p.m. to have been sideswiped during the night.

A citizen reported a suspicious incident that occurred a week prior in the 400 block of Church Street at 4:41 p.m.

Officers contacted a suspicious female in the 1300 block of Huckleberry Avenue after a complaint of at 5:11 p.m.; she was cleaning out a storage unit.

Sandpoint officers assisted Ponderay Police on a call/arrest on Highway 200 at 6:03 p.m.

A 9-year-old male juvenile was located with relatives after an attempt to locate was requested on Cedar Street at 6:07 p.m.; he was fine.

Brittany J Offer, 34, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the 1300 block of Huckleberry Avenue at 6:11 p.m. on a charge of domestic battery in the presence of a child.

Molly M Lavan, 44, of Coeur d’Alene, turned herself in on a felony PV warrant on N. Boyer Road at 7:17 p.m.

A Sandpoint officer attempted to locate a vehicle in the city which lost a mattress in the roadway near Sagle at 8:55 p.m.

An employee accidentally got locked inside a building in the 300 block of N. Fourth Avenue at 9:08 p.m.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Oak Street after a 911 hang-up call was received at 9:56 p.m. and contacted a male and female involved in a verbal domestic. The female left for the night.

A wallet found on Michigan Street was returned to its owner at 10:22 p.m.

Officers handled an alarm call in 1000 block of Fontaine Drive at 10:21 p.m. and located a broken door and window. No entry into the building appeared to have been gained.

An intoxicated male who was knocking on doors in the 2700 block of N. Boyer Avenue at 10:49 p.m. was located and taken on a detox hold.

A 21-year-old Sandpoint male was taken on a detox hold after he was reported to be impeding traffic in the area of Schweitzer Cutoff Road and N. Boyer Avenue at 10:59 p.m.

Officers responded to reported disorderly conduct on Grand View Drive at 10:59 p.m.

PONDERAY POLICE

Aug. 23

A reckless driver was reported northbound in the area of Highway 95 and Kootenai Cutoff Road at 6:34 a.m.

An officer assisted Sandpoint officers with a felony arrest in the 1300 block of N. Fifth Avenue at 3:35 p.m.

Anthony D.O. Gonnason, 26, of Sandpoint was arrested in the 30900 block of Highway 200 at 6:03 p.m. on charges of battery and obstructing/delaying a peace officer.

An officer responded to a parking problem in the 476900 block of Highway 95 at 8:51 p.m.

An officer responded to an alarm on Fontaine Drive at 10:21 p.m.

A weapons offense was reported on Cedar Avenue at 1:05 a.m.

A municipal code violation was reported on High Street at 9:14 a.m.

A municipal code violation was reported on Larch Street at 9:37 a.m.

An officer assisted deputies in a search for a suspicious male reported in the Highway 2 area at 10:31 a.m.

A follow-up report was taken on Highway 2 at 3:18 p.m.
