Marion (Bunny) Elizabeth Holland died on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, in Sandpoint, Idaho,

There will be a rosary service at St. Joseph’s Catholic at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, on Nov. 27, 1925, Bunny graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy and Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. Following graduation, she worked as a surgical nurse at Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, until her marriage to Don Charles Holland on April 7, 1947.

Bunny and Don resided in Colum-bus where they raised a family of eight children. During that period, Bunny found the time to volunteer at Mt. Carmel Hospital and served as president of the Mt. Carmel Auxiliary.

Once her youngest was raised, Bunny took a refresher course and returned to work as a surgical nurse at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Columbus.

Bunny and Don moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1984 and immediately became involved in the community. Bunny worked with Habitat for Human-ity, Bonner Com-munity Food Bank, Bonner County Human Rights Task Force, St. Joseph’s Soup Kitchen and St. Joseph’s Altar Society. Together, Bunny and Don were founding members of the Bonner County Homeless Task Force (now Transitions in Progress).

Bunny enjoyed playing tennis and golf, traveling, reading, gardening and quilting.

But most of all, she enjoyed being surrounded by her family.

Bunny was preceded in death by her husband, Don. She is survived by her children, Don Holland (Rebecca) of Sandpoint, Leslie Passarelli (Joe) of Escondido, Calif., Marion McNulty (Mike) of Sandpoint, Debbie Link of Gahanna, Ohio, Michael Holland (Roz) of Sandpoint, Theresa Fox (Steve) of Denver, N.C., Joe Holland of Columbus, Ohio, and Kevin Holland (Beth) of Hillyard, Ohio. Bunny is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Bunny’s devotion to her faith and her generous spirit guided her to a life of serving others selflessly. She will be remembered for her kind heart and sense of humor and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
