Carlos Plake, 38, was arrested for possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the Shingle Mill Road area at 6:29 p.m.

Request to speak with a deputy from a Kootenai resident on Jeffrey Drive at 7:04 p.m.

Aug. 27

An officer assisted Ponderay Police on a call in the Highway 95 area at 12:25 p.m.

An officer assisted EMS personnel on a call in the 400 block of Remington Court at 12:35 p.m.

Custodial interference was reported on Ruth Avenue at 4:25 p.m.

A juvenile male and his parent were contacted on Forsythia Avenue after a report of possible suicidal threats at 5:37 p.m.; he was just having a bad day and was not suicidal.

An officer assisted a citizen on Bridge Street at 7:45 p.m.

An officer answered a citizen’s questions in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue at 8:15 p.m.

A vehicle theft reported in the 400 block of Remington Court was determined to be unfounded at 8:32 p.m.

John D. McConnell, 23, of Sandpoint, was arrested in the area of Fifth and Cedar at 9:16 p.m. on a charge of driving under the influence for DUI and cited on a charge of driving without privileges.

Aug. 27

Trespassing was reported on Highway 95 at 12:25 p.m.

An officer responded for a civil standby in the 1100 block of Kootenai Cutoff Road at 3:06 p.m.

An officer responded to the 1100 block of Kootenai Cutoff Road in reference to a family offense reported at 5:39 p.m.

An officer responded to the 1100 block of Fontaine Drive in reference to an animal problem reported at 5:36 p.m.

Information was relayed to law enforcement regarding the welfare of a Ponderay resident at 12:40 a.m.
