Scenic Half Marathon returning to Sandpoint

SANDPOINT — Get your running shoes ready for one of the most beautiful races in the U.S., as the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the return of the Scenic Half Marathon. Register now and join the excitement on Sunday, Sept. 17 as hundreds of participants from all over the country race through the majestic outdoors of Sandpoint.
The Scenic Half Marathon is a two-race event in which participants can choose to compete in a 13.1 mile half marathon or 10K run. Both courses start and end at Sandpoint City Beach, with amazing views of Lake Pend Oreille and its neighboring mountains as runners head across the iconic Long Bridge before a journey through historic downtown Sandpoint.
The Greater Sandpoint Chamber will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Forrest M. Bird Charter School’s culinary program, which teaches students about healthy eating from sourcing food to preparing meals. A donation will also be made to the Selkirk Fire Volunteer Firefighters.
