John Porter recently died. No greater tribute can be offered than a true, heartfelt sense of loss experience by a fellow human being. I will miss him. That he considered me a friend is a compliment that is the foundation of my self-esteem.

John was successful in business. More importantly, John was a humane human being. He was not full of himself. He realized his business accomplishments were enhanced by dedicated employees and he rewarded them accordingly. Greed found no haven in his mind or heart.

Did I mention that I will miss him?
