Whether the church is still relevant in today’s world will be discussed at Lifetree Café on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2 p.m.
The program — titled “Is Church Obsolete: Has God Left the Building?” — explores emerging trends showing the church is quickly losing membership and eroding in influence.
“The fastest growing religious group is the group of people who don’t associate with any specific religious tradition,” says Lifetree representative Craig Cable. “We’ll consider what might be behind that trend — and whether the trend represents a problem or an opportunity.”
During the program, Lifetree Café participants will have the opportunity to discuss their views of what’s fueling the precipitous decline in church attendance around the country.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Lifetree Café is located at Tango Café In Columbia Bank, 414 Church St., Sandpoint.
