“The Celtic Way of Life: Ancient Wisdom for Experiencing God Today” retreat will be offered at the First Presbyterian Church of Sandpoint this weekend. It will be facilitated by Sister Mary Lonergan, OSF, of Milwaukie, Ore.
The Celtic way implies a profound awareness of God’s presence in, as well as above, and beyond all of creation. It is truly passionate in the love of God, filled with the wonder and the wilderness of Mystery and awe of life and God’s goodness. It values creativity, music and imagination as dimensions of the Divine life within the human spirit.
Celtic Spirituality is earth-conscious. It is concern for communal care with an even engagement of head, heart, soul and body.
Sr. Mary Lonergan is a monastic from the Order of St Francis recently retired from the Franciscan Spiritual Center in Milwaukie. She is an experienced teacher, lecturer, certified Spiritual Director, Retreat and Workshop Leader. She has lived and taught the world over including the African bush and Guatemalan rainforest.
