It's Bunco time in Newport

NEWPORT — Come and join Soroptimists of Newport for a fun evening of Bunco. The event is Friday September 22, 2017 at the Hospitality House, 216 S. Washington Ave.

The evening starts with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dice roll starts at 6 p.m.

The cost is $20 per ticket, which includes a supper of homemade soups, snacks, beverages and dessert. Also available is a silent auction of awesome gift baskets. Prizes are awarded for winners in four categories. If you haven’t played Bunco in a while or are new to Bunco, we will have a demonstration and post rules for play at 5:30 PM. Seating is limited, so buy your tickets soon!

All the proceeds from this event are to support Soroptimist programs for women and girls in our community.

They include Live Your Dream Awards, Girl of the Month at Newport High School, and Priest River Distinguished Young Women Scholarships. We also support local programs such as Girl Power, YES, and God’s Closet. The goal of Soroptimists is to “Enable and Empower Women to Live Their Dream.”

Soroptimist membership is open to all women in the Pend Oreille Valley. Come and check us out.
